Programs

Every school is different. Your program should be too.

Rather than fitting your school into a fixed package, we design a program around your goals, budget, and schedule. Here are a few formats we commonly build.

Skill-building drills, built into every format

These are examples, not limitations. On your discovery call, we'll design a format that fits your school specifically — these four are simply common starting points.

Weekly Program

Consistent, once-a-week sessions built into your term — ideal for building skills gradually over several weeks.

Monthly Skating Days

A recurring skating day each month — great for schools that want an ongoing tradition without a weekly commitment.

One-Day Skating Experience

A single, high-energy day on the ice — great for a special event, field trip, or first taste of Edgeline.

Fully Customized Program

Something else in mind? We'll build a format from scratch around your calendar, budget, and goals.

Every format can include skill-level grouping, obstacle courses, and team games.

Why Edgeline

What sets us apart is our instructors.

We only hire instructors who are knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about creating the best possible experience for your students — the kind who notice the small things that make a real difference on the ice.

Beyond the ice

Skating is the activity — growth is the point. Here's what students carry back into the classroom.

Every small win builds real confidence

Physical fitness

Ice skating requires balance, coordination, and strength. As skaters develop these physical attributes, they feel more confident in their bodies' capabilities.

Sense of achievement

As students progress, they gain a real sense of accomplishment. Each small success strengthens their confidence in themselves.

Social interaction

We create a collaborative environment where students work alongside one another — and learn to receive feedback gracefully.

Meet the Founder

Chris Carinci built Edgeline on one belief.

Teaching skating to children has been a passion of Chris's since he was 16 years old. Having played high-level hockey most of his life, he believes everyone should experience the freedom that comes from skating with confidence.

He started as a skating instructor with the City of Richmond Hill in 2018, and built genuine relationships with parents and students that led him to begin teaching privately. Chris is a firm believer that children learn faster — and enjoy it more — when their instructor truly loves teaching.

2018 Instructor for the City of Richmond Hill
2019 Promoted to Supervisor for the City
2022 Began teaching as a private 1-on-1 instructor
2023 Private instruction, plus skating coach for hockey teams
2024 Built a team of instructors and began offering group lessons to schools
FAQ

Questions administrators ask us first.

Our programs are designed for elementary-aged students and grouped by skill level rather than grade, so every student — from first-timers to confident skaters — is challenged at the right level.

Every student needs a CSA-approved helmet and their own pair of skates. We also recommend dressing warmly for the rink.

We coordinate with the arena closest to your school and secure the ice rental, then build a schedule — weekly, monthly, or a single day — around your calendar.

That's most students. Our beginner groups start from the very first step onto the ice, with instructors focused entirely on comfort, safety, and confidence first.

Pricing depends on the format, group size, and schedule you choose. We'll walk you through clear, straightforward pricing on your discovery call.
